Controlling clutter, even in the most spacious of floorplans, can be a challenge. Remember these five tips for keeping your apartment clutter free.
Source: The Grove at Waterford Crossing
Have Less – Set aside a day every season to go through your things. Toss out things you don’t need or use and properly store away seasonal items.
In Coming – When mail comes in toss junk mail and set aside bills and other important mail. Also make sure that whatever comes in has a place before the end of the week.
Extra Space – Create extra display and storage space by using shelves. A shelving unit inside a walk-in closet adds extra space for off-season clothing or other accessories.
A Home for Everything – Everything in your apartment should have a home. Without a home it may end up cluttering the floors, counters or tables.
Make More Room – Carve out extra space for future items that will come in. This way you won’t have to reorganize your home every time you buy something new.
Controlling clutter make seem challenging, but with a little work you’ll master the art. If you’d like information about apartments for rent in Hendersonville, TN contact The Grove at Waterford Crossing.
A dirty ceiling fan can wreak havoc on your furniture, drapes and allergies. Although it may feel a little intimidating, cleaning your ceiling fan can be easier than you think. If you are looking for the best way to clean your ceiling fan without leaving dust all over the room, try these tips.
What you will need:
A step ladder
Two pillow cases
A damp towel or cleaning cloth
Someone to hold the ladder
How to Clean the Ceiling Fan
Climb the ladder until you can reach the ceiling fan. Do not overextend yourself.
Slide the pillowcase over the blade as you would a pillow.
As you pull the pillowcase off, wipe the top of the blade. The dust will fall in the pillowcase.
After most of the dust is off, take your damp cloth and wipe the blade clean.
Do this for the remaining blades and in no time you will have a squeaky clean fan.
Having a garbage disposal is such a convenience. But if you aren’t careful you could end up with unpleasant odors. Use these easy tips to get rid of those smells. Then keep your disposal smelling fresh by getting in the habit of cleaning it once a week for best results.
Stop the drain, run a couple inches of hot water in the sink and add a few squirts of dish soap. Then open the drain and turn on the disposal. The hot water will dissolve any leftover oil or grease.
Using ice and salt will help keep the grinding blades clean. Plus the ice will also sharpen the blades. For extra odor removal freeze white vinegar and use instead of plain water.
Grind up citrus peels to release a pleasant smell throughout the kitchen. The blades will come out nice and shiny from the citric acid.
For mildew smells add a small amount of bleach, let sit for just a few minutes and then rinse thoroughly with hot water.
When all else fails pick up a special garbage disposal brush at your local kitchen supply store.
Beautify the bathroom in your Hendersonville apartment with one or all of the following five DIY projects that will improve the look of your powder room without doing any permanent damage to it:
Customize the basic shades in your bathroom by stenciling a pattern across the bottom of them. You could also use removable decals to add pizazz to your shades.
Decorate your tub with colorful washi tape. Making a fun pattern across the front, center of your tub with your washi tape will make it the focal point of your bathroom.
If you have a single sink or pedestal sink in your bathroom, make a pretty sink skirt for it. A sink skirt will add both beauty and function to your bathroom. You can hide extra toiletries and towels behind your sink skirt.
